February Fishing Special!

by bryan goodwin on 02/04/12

The above average temps this Winter have led to above average fishing opportunities!  Large Speckle Trout and schoolin' Redfish are both viable fisheries when we combine light winds and sunshine.

In an effort to motivate some of you folks that may be on the fence about fishing this time of year,  I am offering discounted trips during the month of February!   $300 half-day trip (4~5 hours) for up to two persons fishing for both Specs and Reds!  Fish with our newest gear aboard our NEW 2012 Pathfinder 23 HPS!

I don't offer discounted trips very often, so come take advantage of this unique opportunity.   Call Capt. Bryan 252 725-3961

It's On !!!

by bryan goodwin on 01/27/12

We wanted a mild Winter and so far we are getting it!   It's Jan. 27th and we have only had one freezing night.  Water temps have gone from lows in the upper 40's back up into the low to mid 50's !!   Yesterday we caught Speckle Trout and found a nice (and cooperative) school of 200+ Redfish!   Crystal clear water this time of year definately adds to the excitement.  If  "cabin fever" is starting to set in .... don't wait til Spring.... Book your trip today!    Capt. Bryan  252 725-3961

Update: Sat 1/28  More Sp. Trout and Schoolin' Reds!

A Lot to Talk About......

by bryan goodwin on 01/22/12

It's January 22nd and there is a lot to talk about!

I've been in Raleigh the past two weekends at trade shows.  I want to thank everyone who came out to see me at the Bass & Saltwater Expo a few weeks ago.  Our TV Show "DownEast Outdoors" definately has a good following in the Raleigh area.   I also had a very productive trip to the Henry's Tackle Show in Raleigh last weekend.  Good things happenin' in 2012!

Yes we are fishing in January......     Had Donald Yarborough on board yesterday in less than perfect conditions, but his faith in me as a guide paid sure paid off!  Landed double digits number of Speckle Trout yesterday and they were a nice class of fish in the 2~3 # range.  If these mild winter conditions keep up,  you might just want to give me a call sooner than later.

Almost forgot to ask....  what do ya'll think about the changes to the website?  I've been working hard trying to upgrade and streamline the website......

Merry Christmas!!!

by bryan goodwin on 12/24/11

Got an early Christmas present from NC Sportsman Magazine...                         Yes,  that is me on the front cover!

Mild fall temps have setting us up for fantastic Winter fishing!   Water temps are mild for this time of year and it has created an opportunity for some fantastic fishing during the holidays and early January!!!

I have open dates the first few weeks of January and if we stay in this mild weather pattern,  Trout and Red Drum fishing is going to be fantastic!!!

I will be taking a break from fishing to attend the Bass & Saltwater Fishing Expo in Raleigh  January 5,6 & 7th........  I will have a booth there and I will be conducting seminars as well.   Come on out and see me..... it is a great event!
